Before loading a video, equally visible allow and decline options are offered. Scrolling, continuing to browse or closing the dialog does not give permission.

mert-site-media-preference-v1 stores your allow/decline choice, its time and the preference text version in browser local storage. It is not an HTTP cookie and the website code does not send it to a server. It is created only after a choice. The preference is valid for 30 days; expired entries are removed on the next check. If storage is blocked, the choice is remembered only while the current page is open.
Security · Cloudflare
Depending on the request and security checks, the hosting infrastructure may use security cookies such as __cf_bm. This supports bot protection; Cloudflare states that it expires after 30 minutes of continuous inactivity. The website’s video preference does not control infrastructure security cookies.
Optional videos · Google / YouTube
Allowing and opening a video loads YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player. IP, device/browser and playback information may reach Google/YouTube, and cookies or similar storage may be used. Names and lifetimes can vary with your browser, Google session and service behaviour. Privacy-enhanced mode does not mean that no data is processed.
Change your preference
Withdrawing permission closes an open player and prevents future loading. Changes are shared with other open tabs on the same site. This does not delete information already sent to Google or Google’s own cookies. Manage those through your browser’s site-data settings and Google privacy tools. Deleting the local preference returns video loading to its initial off state.
